Then that picture of Shilven and Xanda, I got farther but I didn’t work on it yesterday and I don’t remember the day before (lol bad memory), but it looks A LOT better! Thanks so much, Deji. ;o; I still don’t know what the hell I’m going to do with their hands though. xD

lol I haven’t drawn a fanart from in anime in like… a couple years? I don’t know, for some reason I don’t really like drawing from anime/manga. xD; But it felt nice to color in colored pencils for a change. And I think that nude drawing of Xanda helped a lot (though there’s still some mistakes I noticed LATER lhsordwsdftg) Her eye bugs the hell out of me though. D:
And I like how I deleted everything from my DA gallery and nobody seemed to notice. lol
Well, I finished the book last night. It came out all right. xD That paper was so annoying though. It gets dirty easily and it kinda tears easily, so it was kinda hard to color with colored pencils (couldn’t press too hard, shade with many layers, etc.). D: I took a few pictures, but they came out pretty bad, and I don’t know when I’ll get it back to take better pictures. orz Either tomorrow or the first week of next quarter. ^^;
And I started working on something in between studying (because I have a horrible attention span like that) and while I should be studying (like right now!). It’s Shilven and Xanda again because they like to get me to go through phases. lol But I was really liking Shilven’s body outline (because I draw them nude, then add clothes), so I think they’ll stay nude. xD And I’m really trying to get their figures too look good, like I’m actually looking at references (and paying attention to them!) for parts I need help with other than just winging it. This is good practice for muscles and drawing the female figure. Thank you Shilven and Xanda for having such nice figures! xD

Mind you, they still have A LOT of fixing. I’m realizing what I need to get better at as I work on it. This concept is completely different from what I was originally going to do, so I realized that Shilven needs to curve like Xanda. D: The parts I’m having the most trouble on are Xanda’s breasts, Shilven’s legs, and his abs (they look so flat, will correct later~) I took an anatomy class in high school two years ago, but we never went over the muscles of the forearm and I don’t remember the legs AT ALL (I know the names of soleus and sartorius and that’s like it lol). And serratus anterior confuses the hell out of me. xD; His hips don’t look weighty enough either. I don’t know how people draw anime hips, but I’m used to seeing weighty hips in life drawing.
Actually, if I finish this, I might add a version with clothes, so I feel more comfortable showing it. xD;;

So for my art class, our final is to make a book, like we did with the midterm. My professor didn’t really give us any instructions for this one, but she said it had to be mostly drawings. I just wanted to kind of hurry and get this one done because I have other stuff from this class to complete and I need to study for my Biology final. So I just decided to take the easy way draw my characters for it. I’m so lame. D:
But this paper is like cloth paper and it’s really hard to erase, so I’m trying really hard to get the drawings to look okay. >.O Don’t know how I’ll color them because I don’t quite think I’ll be able to do it well and I REALLY don’t want to mess up. D:
But anyway! Process thus far:
It’s actually looking pretty good so far, I’m surprised. :’D That page with Reyvek was supposed to have Erilin in it also, but I don’t think I’ll have enough room, so I still don’t know. And I really messed up on Shilven’s hand, but I can’t erase on this paper. ):
I have eight pages and I’m planning to make them Reyvek, Erilin, Shilven, Rowan, Erilin and Reyvek, Herm and Ardin. Then for the other two, I was thinking of just sketching head shots or something and maybe a collage of some finished works that I’ll have to print. I’m liking the collage idea for if I really mess up on one because I can just glue a bunch of pictures on top. :’D Herm and Ardin are looking pretty bad, so I think I’ll have to do that on theirs. D:
Finally got them done~ D: I’m like swamped with school work and studying right now, so I haven’t been drawing AT ALL. So this is all I’ve gotten done in like a week. ><
I tried not to be too fancy with their designs since like all the other characters’ designs are not at all. orz I pretty much had no ideas for their second designs, especially since I like Tilth’s original way too much, and the colors are pretty much the same. =_=
Really quickly put colors on Alinde’s. Probably going to change them some and take off a couple things, because she’s got too many things going on in her waist area since I didn’t know what I wanted, so I just threw a bunch of stuff on her. xD;
He reminds me of a pirate. xD I really like his original design too much, and I wanted something different but in the end, I didn’t have many ideas for him and kinda rushed it. D:
Girls are easier for me to design, but guys are easier for me to draw. I have no idea. :U
